Craft Town, in Pekin, IN., has been family owned since 1971. It is the largest quilt shop in southern Indiana with over 7,000 bolts of fabric in stock. We also have books, patterns, and kits. Visit us online, we hope you will enjoy your shopping experience with us.

Robert and Virginia Hogan still own the store, with Robin Temple as the shop manager.  Virginia started the store in her basement as a yarn shop in Pekin, Indiana.  A few years later she moved the store to Salem and  began Craft Town. In the beginning the store was a craft store carrying wood, paint, fabric and  basket crafts. The last few years the shop has gravitated toward being mainly a quilt store. Robin started managing the shop in 2000 and started the online store in 2003.  Being from a small rural area made it a necessity to go online so she could improve her customer base.  Robin strives everyday to improve the store.

We stand out among quilt shops because we do buy full collections and try to buy the most current fabric. We have local ladies and employees make all the samples. A local lady named Bobbie Knock who does all of our windows and  displays. We recently have enlarged our baby section and we carry flannel and 100% cotton. Our specialty is full collections by the best known designers.

Craft Town supports the local quilt guild in Salem (Piecemakers Quilt Guild) by donating fabric to the raffle quilt. We also participate in the yearly Southern Indiana shop hop.

We hope you will enjoy our online store
